Would have loved it if it weren’t for the sharp ends/clips – This really could have been the perfect gift! I love how it offers 3 sizes in 1 pack: giant, classic, and junior. I prefer the sound, weight, and feel of the metal over plastic. However, I’m extremely disappointed at the sharp ends. The clips that hold the ends together are also sharp! Yikes. They don’t appear that way to the eyes but you have to feel it to know. Can’t believe nobody cared to notice this. It blows my mind how this was overlooked. I assume the clips are there to prevent tangling, which I am thankful for but why does it scratch and pick at my skin! If I bought this for myself I would have been able to ignore the sharpness but they were for my very young nephews. I didn’t want the risk of them injured or bleeding. Unfortunately, I had to return them. Potentially a great gift ruined by sharpness.

If the ORIGINAL left your hands black after playing with it? Then YES This is the original – I have bought multiple slinkies because I have 9 grandchildren who don’t CARE if they get black hands when playing or that they twist, tangle and are rendered usless after a few plays. Only grandma would buy something like this, knowing it isn’t a good buy, anyway! I have a few left. Hopefully they will tire of them soon.

Doesn’t feel right – The small one is so small it’s pretty much useless. It looks kind of cute but can’t really play with it. The middle one works like it should but it’s a bit too small for me. The giant one has the right size but it’s not smooth and gets stuck often. I could have bought a regular one from walmart for 3$ and now I feel sorry I didn’t.

Memories…. – I got this because of the memories from when I was a kid and owning one. I showed this to my granddaughters and they had a ball playing with this toy. Of course, I was happy that it took them away from electronics for a long while. The Slinky was made with pretty good material. It wasn’t as sturdy as the ones from the past, but it did what I needed. We were even able to get it to “walk” down the stairs which has always been my favorite thing to do with Slinkys.

Not a real Slinky, barely can make 2 steps – This slinky is just a bunch of metal made to look like a Slinky. The real Slinky’s could take several steps even if you flung it a cross a flat surface. This one only took 1 1/2 to 2 steps no matter what steps I tried it on. My son commented that maybe it was ‘too heavy’. The box also was beat up and looked like it had been opened. Not sure the value of getting 3 different sized Slinkies when none of them work.
