Decent for the price – Cute and pretty realistic looking. They are light weight which is nice. But honestly, they’re very cheaply made and come apart at the seams unless you have the gentlest toddler on the face of the earth. I’ve glued the trumpet back together twice and the saxophone once already. And I think we have these a month. Also, making the sound is VERY difficult – but at least my son just walks around pretending

Not as good as the saxophone. – A mediocre toy. We bought the saxophone and our grand kids loved it. Lots of fun so we thought we’d add to the band with a clarinet. It’s not nearly as fun as the other. I couldn’t recommend. They still love the sax. It’s much more user (3 year old) friendly.

Ok….at best – My nephew asked for a trumpet for his birthday so I bought him the set. The trumpet was by far the worst. He had a really hard time with it so a couple of adults tried only to have the same results. The clarinet & sax were better, but not great. Two thumbs down for the trumpet & one thumb up for the other two.

Cute but didn’t really work. – I thought these were super cute when I received them but my nephew couldn’t blow on them. I thought they actually worked but they didn’t and when he dropped them, they broke really fast.

My Son loves these!! – I got this for Christmas for my 4 year old and he loves it! He’s really into instruments right now, so it was a perfect addition to his collection. I really like that the instruments aren’t terribly loud. We also have an infant so when out oldest plays, it’s not disturbing.

My 3 year old likes them – My 3 year old likes them but the are not really easy to play. The trumpet was cracked in just a few days unfortunately.

Difficult to blow – My kid will at least pretend play. Unfortunately, you have to blow ALOT/hard and be out of breath just to play a couple notes. So its useless since my child can’t play music with it.

Fun for all! – My husband and I are very musical and we have tried to encourage our musically inclined kids (4.5, 3, 1.5) to have fun with instrument toys. These are definitely children’s sized, but both my husband and I were able to play them. In order for a sound to come out, at least one of the keys must be pressed. The clarinet and the saxophone can play a full scale and are in tune with each other. The trumpet is the same key, but only plays four notes. I understand the limitations of a brass children’s toy. The toys have been played frequently and only one of the instruments has had a broken part. One of the keys snapped off the clarinet, so it will now play that note with just blowing. The keys are just plastic, so I expect the more we use the toys, the more this might happen. The key did snap off as a child was closing a drawer, not as it was being played. The loudness of the instruments is tolerable and not really very loud compared to what a real instrument could be. Overall, we are very satisfied with this purchase.
