A hit with my two year old grandson – The pieces seem kind of small for a two year old, but he is being monitored with it. He love it, absolutely loves it. So does his 9 year old sister, who helps him with it.

A tad bit hard to play with – Overall, I do like the Carrot Harvest Montessori Toy but there are some shortcomings. My toddler has been playing with it and the fishing part of the game is fun and she enjoys it. But in order to play with the wooden shapes, the fishing part of the toy must be removed. And there’s no place to put it down. Once you place it down, all the carrots come popping up. Also in order for my toddler to insert the shapes into the designated slots, you really have to push the whole cart over. It’s a bit difficult to insert from the side. Overall, the quality of the wooden carrots and shapes look great and are durable. But there’s some usability issues that I don’t find quite as intuitive.

So cute! – This toy set it so cute and educational! I bought this a bit prematurely for my 17 month old (recommended age is 36+ months) and although she loved playing with all the little pieces, I’ll probably put it away until she’s a bit older and can enjoy it more. It is simply made, but other than some minor cosmetic imperfections, it appears to be good quality. I do agree with some reviewers that the cut outs on the sides of the cart are a bit difficult to play with unless you turn the cart on its side, but this seems like a minor issue. Overall, very satisfied!

Granddaughter loved it. Very colorful and seemingly handmade. – When my granddaughter (not quite 2 years old) opened this her eyes lit up. She quickly understood where to put the carrots and the worms but had no idea what to do with the rest. The holes are almost imperceptibly different sizes and it takes a bit, even for an adult, to understand that the carrots are also different sizes which explains why some carrots just fall through the holes. This might be a difficult concept for kids under two years old…but maybe it’s just a good teaching tool. Some of the worm holes are just a tiny bit too big to keep the worms from falling through…unless those are also purposefully made to be different sizes. Some of the joints are not put together tightly which leads me to believe much of the toy is handmade. Which is not a bad thing…just something to be mindful of. All in all this is a great gift and she loves it.
