Overhyped and overpriced… – I debated on ordering this product for the last two months, and I finally ordered it post-Christmas on 01/01/19. Since I ordered the Melissa and Doug Fresh Mart Grocery Store stand as a Christmas present for my son, I ultimately caved and purchased this, despite reading multiple reviews stating that the boxes in this set were cardboard. There are a total of 7 cardboard boxes and they are a butter, broccoli florets, cake mix, cereal, rice, sandwich cookie, and spaghetti box. The boxes are made of a somewhat thick cardboard material, but the boxes are definitely not smash-proof – they can be easily destroyed. The boxes are not even as thick as a typical Amazon shipment box, for comparison. If the recipient of this product does not have a habit of destroying or damaging toys or belongings, this MIGHT be a good product to purchase. Honestly, this product should be worth no more than $20, including regular shipping costs and/or taxes.
