Excellent figure but beware the tail on pre-owned ones. – This is a great figure, with excellent paint and articulation, a smaller-scale successor to the Amber line. It’s roughly as large as the Amber Velociraptors, and easily as high quality.

Excellent figure but beware the tail on pre-owned ones. – This is a great figure, with excellent paint and articulation, a smaller-scale successor to the Amber line. It’s roughly as large as the Amber Velociraptors, and easily as high quality.

Hammond Collection spares no expense! – Mattel’s Hammond Collection is off to an interesting start by having its first medium-sized carnivore being a Baryonyx from Fallen Kingdom rather than a more classic film, but the choice does pay off. Excellent range of articulation for a $20 figure, well-done paint in nearly every spot it should be, and a fantastic (presumably digital) sculpt make for a fantastic display piece, or mild play from older kids. Be wary of the seam around the top of the head, as it can split due to use of the joint behind the head, and in warmer climates keep an eye on the bendy rubber tail. So far, it shouldn’t end up deteriorating like some Amber Collection raptor tails apparently did, but you never know.
