Nightvision – My son really loves to use these while playing at night with friends.

Not for little kids and design issues – I hate writing less than glowing reviews but this is one that needs some attention. First impression, these feel like pretty good quality and they work… but not really, I’ll explain. The battery pack is really big and heavy so it weighs the whole thing down and makes it slide down to his neck. This pulls the glasses at a weird angle, smashing his nose and pulling on his face in a bad way. A simple strap over the top ( like most normal head lamps ) would fix this. As for the light effect… Of course we did not expect them to be real night vision, our son just loves to pretend but there are a number of problems that become immediately obvious. With the led lights glowing through the lenses, you can’t really see through them very well at all. With the lights flipped out ( very bright and a cool feature ) it is even worse. So basically once it is dark ( the entire point ) you can’t really see through them. Imagine being in a dark room with your phone lit up 1/2 inch from your eyes… you can’t see anything else. Our son is 4 and he is a normal size kid and we couldn’t really get any usable fun out of them other than the unboxing ( the look really cool ). He ended up wearing them up on his forehead like a normal headlamp. Of course he was bummed and just kept saying that they hurt his face or he can’t see anything. I hope this helps.
